Global Food Crisis

Sign up Now

Right now we are in the middle of the biggest global food crisis ever. 900 000 000 kids are going chronically hungry. They try to attend school, but can't concentrate and are falling behind. Many can't attend school because they are too busy hunting for food or trying to earn money to buy it. There are women out there who spend all day collecting fire wood. On a good day they make $1. We make more than that sitting in an office for an hour. There are children who spend all month looking after cows to raise $2.50.

The first thing you notice about some of these children are their beautiful, long eyelashes. The second thing is how the eyes underneath them look empty and distant. A girl called Beatrice's favourite game is a cooking game. She plays it by making fake fires and using goat droppings. In her game there is always enough.

Please, donate some money to help these children. We don't need it nearly as much as they do.

About Me

My photo
Albatross
I have always loved imagining things and making things up. I have always felt that this world needs a little more imagination and a little less reality. That is why I write novels and create imaginary creatures, people, and places, where previously, only I could go. Now I'm inviting you to visit these places, view these creatures, and meet these people right along with me. Enjoy! P.S. My favourite bird is the Albatross, and I am currently working on a book called the Albatross Feather.
